Color Junction is a simple game that is both interesting and challenging. The program generates a square matrix of colored blocks. When you click on a group of adjacent blocks of the same color, the respective group is eliminated. If certain blocks were “sitting” above, they fall on the next available space. Furthermore, a gap cannot exist in the bottom row. If this happens, the blocks that sit on the right side of that gap are moved to the left to fill the empty space. The purpose of the game is to get rid of all the elements.
At first glance, this game might seem easy but it’s not. Eliminating all the blocks requires a great amount of concentration. If you like puzzles, you’ll probably spend a lot of time replaying the same layout until you get a perfect score. It can do that to you.
The difficulty can be changed by adjusting the size of the matrix and the number of colors. Maximum field size is 10x10 and maximum number of colors is eight. These settings make it almost impossible to get a perfect score and offer a great and pleasant challenge. Of course, if you want the game to be easier, you can reduce the amount of possible colors. Reducing it to two colors make is too easy though but three is perfect.
